This volume began as a request. A charge nurse in Sacramento wrote to ask for something that could be picked up and put down in ninety-second increments, and that would not glare under a nurses’ station lamp.
We reset the interior stock, dropped the grid to eighteen squares, and printed a proof under the exact lighting she described. It is the most tested book we have made.
